Machined from 7075 aluminum, it is durable enough to handle high gas pressure without flexing. The reduced weight helps the slide cycle more smoothly and can improve reliability, especially when gas pressure drops in cooler weather. It arrives in a green finish. This assembly drives the recoil impulse from inside the slide.
