The Spitfire Tracer makes your BBs visible in low light and night games. It screws onto the muzzle of your SIG AIR (VFC) M17 rifle and lights up the projectile's flight path, so you can track shots at dusk or in dark CQB without switching to a dedicated night gun.

What a tracer does. Standard BBs are invisible once they leave the barrel in anything less than full daylight. A tracer unit uses either ambient light or an internal LED to illuminate the BB as it passes through. The result is a visible streak that shows you where your shots are going and lets opponents see hits more clearly. This is purely a visibility tool—it does not affect FPS, accuracy, or range.

Platform fit. Atlas Custom Works designed this for the VFC SIG M17 platform specifically. That matters because M17-style rifles have different barrel threads and receiver dimensions than other SIG variants. If you have a VFC M17, the fit should be direct. Other M17 clones or different SIG platforms may need an adapter or may not seat correctly.

What you need to run it. Tracer units work best with tracer BBs—those are BBs with a glowing compound embedded in the shell. Regular BBs will show a faint trace in bright ambient light but won't glow in the dark. If you plan to run this for night games, stock up on tracer BBs in your preferred weight. The unit itself is passive: no batteries, no charging, no extra wiring.

Installation. The Spitfire screws directly onto the threaded muzzle. Most M17 rifles use standard 14mm negative threading, so no adapter should be needed. Once installed, it adds a small amount of length to the barrel—roughly the size of a standard flash hider. Check your overall length against field rules if you're running a CQB-limited setup.

What's in the box. Just the tracer unit. No mounting hardware, no tracer BBs, no manual. If your rifle doesn't have a threaded barrel, you'll need to swap the inner barrel or outer barrel assembly first.

This is a niche accessory for players who run night games or want the visual effect of a glowing shot trail. If you only skirmish during daylight, you won't get much use out of it. For everyone else, it's a straightforward way to make low-light shooting more usable without building a dedicated night rig.
