The stock magazine catch on a Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa works, but it's not crisp. On a competition pistol where you're running reloads as fast as your fingers can manage, that mushy release or stiff button costs time. The Atlas Custom Works Type 4 mag catch swaps in stainless steel for a positive, clean release.

Type 4 design. This is the extended paddle style that sits lower on the grip frame, putting the release point closer to where your support hand naturally falls. You do not have to adjust your grip or hunt for the button mid-reload. The paddle is long enough that you can hit it with your thumb or trigger finger depending on your hold, which matters when transitioning between strong and support hand reloads.

Stainless steel over polymer. The factory catch is polymer and can wear down over time, especially with high round count matches. Stainless steel holds its shape and does not deform under repeated thumb pressure. It is also heavier, which adds a bit of balance to the front end.

Installation. This replaces the factory catch directly. No gunsmithing needed if you are comfortable taking the grip frame apart. You will need to remove the slide, take out the guide rod and recoil spring, then unbolt the grip frame to swap the catch. If you are not set up for that, a local gunsmith can do it in ten minutes.

Includes only the magazine catch. Installation hardware is reused from your factory part.
