The Atlas Custom Works 3.9 Type 3 frame is for players who want a lighter Hi-Capa without losing the full-size feel. CNC aluminum cuts the weight compared to a steel frame, but it still carries like a real 1911-style pistol rather than a toy. The 3.9-inch barrel length puts you in the sweet spot for CQB and outdoor skirmish—long enough for decent velocity and sight radius, short enough to clear a vehicle door or tight doorway.
What the 3.9 length actually does for you. You get a bit more velocity than a compact 5-inch frame would, and the longer sight plane makes aiming at distance easier. At the same time, it's still compact enough to run one-handed if you have to, and it doesn't swallow your draw from a holster the way a 6-inch bullbarrel would.
Type 3 frame specifics. This is a Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa compatible frame with the standard slide stop and safety geometry. The "No Marking" finish means no serial numbers or manufacturer stamps visible on the slide or frame—clean look for range use. The red anodized finish is cosmetic.
What's in the box and what you'll need. The package includes the frame, a stainless steel sear, a valve knocker, and the pin set. You still need to source your own slide, barrel, bushing, recoil spring, and internal parts unless you're building from a donor gun. This is a frame-only rebuild, not a complete pistol.
Before you buy. Make sure your existing Hi-Capa internals are compatible with a Type 3 frame. Some older Marui frames have slightly different pin hole spacing or sear geometry. If you're building from scratch, budget for a full parts kit—slide, barrel, guide rod, recoil spring, and magazine. The frame alone won't shoot anything.
This is a builder's part, not a ready-to-run pistol. If you want something out of the box that shoots, look at a complete GBB instead. If you're assembling a custom Hi-Capa and want a lighter, CNC-machined frame in red, this is the right choice.
