Red dots lose some of their advantage when the magnifier behind them blocks your sight picture. The Atlas Custom Works ZV-1 solves that with two mount heights in one package: a low-profile mount for running the optic solo, and a riser mount that sits the reticle high enough to clear a mounted magnifier's eyepiece. You get the right height for whatever your setup is.
What's included. The ZV-1 red dot sight ships with both mounts, so you don't need to source risers separately. It's aluminum construction, black finish, and the whole package is what you see listed — no battery or spare reticle caps in the box.
Why the mount matters. Most red dot sights ship with a single-height mount. If you later add a magnifier, you're either crowding the optic or buying a separate riser. This package covers both setups from the start. The low mount keeps your profile tight for CQB work or when the red dot is your only optic. The riser steps it up so your dominant eye can switch between the red dot and magnifier without losing alignment — the thing that makes a magnifier actually usable instead of getting in the way.
Before you buy. A red dot sight is just the optic. Confirm your rail type and whether the included mounts match your platform, and pick up a spare CR2032 battery if your kit doesn't already carry them. Mounting hardware is included with this package, but a proper optic installation needs a torque wrench — over-tightening is the most common way to shift zero.
