Standard MILSPEC end plates are usually thin, stamped steel, and the weakest part of a buffer-tube build — they're the first thing to crack if you drop a rifle butt-down, and the sling can always wobble enough to unsettle your zero. B5 Systems fixes that by cutting theirs from steel.
Steel when it matters. This is a solid piece of steel that holds up under sling tension. At half an ounce it adds nothing to the rifle, and once staked into your receiver extension it stays put. Limited rotation means the sling won't spin around under load, so your attachment point is stable and predictable.
What it does for you. It's a direct-replacement end plate for any MILSPEC buffer tube. If you're building a rifle with a single-point sling and need a secure QD socket mounted at the butt, this is the part that holds the load. It works with every MILSPEC carbine-style receiver extension.
Installation. The plate needs staking to hold — you'll need the standard buffer-tube staking tools or a trip to your armorer.
