You need plate protection for milsim, but the choice is usually between something that strips you of movement and something that strips away features. The ARC V2 sits between them: a plate carrier built to carry actual impact protection without turning your torso into a backpack.
How it carries. The shoulder straps are padded with breathable sponge and adjust via hook and loop, so you can dial in the fit before you load it up. Quick-release buckles on the shoulders and waist belt mean you can get it off in one motion — useful after a long scenario and mandatory if you're rolling in a vehicle with the thing on. The cummerbund wraps the sides and backs, giving you lateral give when you need to twist or sit, which is where most carriers become rigid boxes.
Plate size and what fits. Built for 10 × 12 inch plates or SAPI Medium cut. That is the most common airsoft plate size — cheap, lightweight SPC or PE options are everywhere and you can swap out for heavier inserts if your scenario calls for it. At roughly 1.8 lbs unloaded, the carrier itself is light; what it weighs depends on what you put inside.
Modularity that actually works. The front and rear panels are laser-cut Cordura, and the cummerbund carries M-System mounting slots across the board. M-System is to pouches what M-LOK is to handguards — a direct-attach standard that means any pouch with the matching mounting hardware works, from Code 11's own line to third-party gear. No proprietary pouch hunt. The front panel also carries slots for 2.5 cm tactical placard clips, so you can pin on a velcro panel for patches or IFF markers. The clips themselves are sold separately.
Material and weight. Cordura throughout — the same nylon family that shows up in military-grade load-bearing equipment. It is abrasion-resistant without being heavy. You'll be sweating in this during a summer scenario; no plate carrier isn't, and the breathability you're getting is in the shoulder padding, not the shell fabric.
Before you buy. Plates, pouches, and placard clips are not included — you get the carrier only. Plan on budgeting for at least one plate pair and enough pouches to cover your mag count, radio, and first aid. If you run a larger torso, size up before your first scenario rather than hoping the cummerbund stretches.
