You need a mag pouch that holds tight when you're running but still lets you grab your mag without fumbling. The Code 11 Full Size Mag Pouch V2 is built for exactly that balance. Cordura construction, curved side inserts that keep the mag secure, and a flip-top that opens fast with one hand.
What fits. Rated for 5.56mm and 7.62mm rifle magazines, which covers the standard M4/M16 and AK full-size patterns. Most 30-round and 40-round mags drop in without issue. If you run oversized drum magazines or low-cap mags with extended bases, you'll want to check dimensions first — this pouch is sized for standard full-size profiles, not the specialty shapes.
Retention that actually works. The reinforced curved side inserts are the difference between a pouch that just holds a mag and one that holds it under load. The sides flex enough for a smooth insertion and retrieval, but they don't let the mag bounce around when you're moving. The flip-top closure stays shut without needing to be aggressive about it.
Mounting options. Two choices. The hook and loop belt clip takes belts up to 2 inches wide — standard issue or duty belt, no problem. The M-System clip mounts to MOLLE/PALS webbing on a chest rig, plate carrier, or assault pack. Mounting height is adjustable, so you can set it where your hand naturally goes rather than where the webbing happens to be.
It weighs roughly 4 ounces, so you're not adding meaningful weight per pouch — but plan on running two or three in a typical loadout.
Before you buy. This pouch ships one at a time. Most players want multiples, so order however many fit your mag count. If you run mid-cap magazines instead of full-size, check the depth first — mid-caps can sit loose in a full-size pouch depending on the exact model.
