Most players carry a gas pistol as a backup to their primary rifle. The question is whether you want something that feels like a sidearm or something that actually performs when the primary runs dry. The Double Bell 1911 CO2 sits in the middle: it has the weight and slide action of a full-size GBB, but it runs on 12g CO2 cartridges instead of green gas, which changes how it behaves at the field.

How CO2 changes the game. CO2 runs at higher pressure than green gas, so you get more consistent velocity across a wider temperature range and a harder recoil impulse. That makes it the better choice for outdoor skirmishes where green gas can lose power in cool weather. The trade-off is that CO2 pistols tend to run hotter during rapid fire, and the cartridges are consumable—you'll need to budget for them. Each 12g cartridge gives you roughly 30 to 40 shots depending on how you shoot.

Velocity and where it fits. Rated 330 to 350 FPS on 0.20g BBs, which clears most indoor CQB limits and sits comfortably inside typical outdoor pistol caps. That puts this in the sidearm category rather than a primary rifle. It's not for trading shots at 150 feet; it's for when you're clearing rooms, running a pistol-only lane, or need a backup that won't die when the temperature drops.

Externals and build. The slide and outer barrel are metal, and the frame is metal with textured polymer grip panels. That gives you the weight and feel of a full-metal 1911 without the full cost. The adjustable hop-up is a meaningful upgrade over fixed-hop pistols, especially if you want to tune for heavier BBs. You'll get better consistency and range with 0.25g or 0.28g BBs than you will from a fixed-hop pistol running 0.20g.

Magazine and capacity. The 24-round single-stack magazine is standard for 1911-pattern GBB pistols. That's realistic capacity, not a high-cap wheel you wind between games. It also houses the CO2 cartridge, so you're reloading both gas and ammo at the same time. The magazine model is 823J, which is a common platform—spares and replacements are available from multiple manufacturers.

What's in the box. You get the pistol, the 24-round magazine, a cleaning rod, an Allen tool, and a spare loading nozzle. CO2 cartridges are not included, and neither is BBs. You'll need to pick those up separately.

Before you buy. This is not Canada-compliant, so if you're ordering from Canada, this SKU won't work for you. The pistol is blowback, which means the slide cycles with every shot—that's the point, but it also means you'll burn through CO2 faster during rapid fire. If you want a training pistol or a realistic sidearm for outdoor fields, this does the job. If you're looking for a high-capacity primary rifle, look at AEGs instead.
