The 1911 platform has been a sidearm standard for over a century. In airsoft, that translates to a pistol that feels like the real thing—metal on metal, working slide, recoil that you feel in your hand. The Double Bell CQB 1911 brings that manual of arms to the range without the range itself requiring a holster qualification.
What you're getting. Full metal frame, slide, and outer barrel. The weight lands at 2 lbs, which is substantial enough to feel serious but light enough that you'll forget it's there after the first magazine. At 9 inches long, it fits in a jacket pocket or a small range bag without drama. The textured polymer grip plates give you purchase when your hands are sweaty or the weather turns.
Gas blowback trade-offs. This runs on green gas or propane, with the slide cycling on every shot to simulate recoil. That realism comes at a cost: output drops when it gets cold, gas mags are more expensive than AEG mid-caps, and you're burning gas with each pull. On the plus side, you get blowback action and a working safety that actually engages. The 22-round magazine is single-stack, which keeps the grip slim but means you'll be reloading more often than with a high-capacity pistol.
Velocity and where it belongs. Rated 320–330 FPS on 0.20g BBs. That sits comfortably inside typical indoor CQB caps and works fine for outdoor sidearm rules. As with any gas pistol, temperature and BB weight will move the number, so chrono before your first game. This is a CQB tool, not a long-range solution—expect solid performance to about 100 feet with good BBs and a decent hop-up adjustment.
Internals and parts. The internals follow TM-spec 1911 dimensions, which means most aftermarket parts will fit. The inner barrel, bucking, recoil spring, and valves are serviceable. Common upgrades include a precision inner barrel, an upgraded bucking for consistency, and high-efficiency magazine valves to stretch your gas per shot. If you're new to gas pistols, the stock setup is fine for learning; upgrade when you know what you're chasing.
Before you shoot. You'll need green gas or propane and 6mm BBs—neither is included. The magazine uses DB-728J compatibility, so spares are available from the same ecosystem. A hard case is included for storage and transport. Break-in takes a few hundred rounds; expect tighter groups and smoother cycling once the seals settle in.
This is a pistol-calibre carbine's big brother in the sidearm world: built for close work, realistic handling, and players who want the manual of arms without the maintenance headaches of a full custom build.
