The buffer tube on an M4 is where you house your battery, and choosing a stock for it means picking between weight, adjustability, and battery space. The Double Bell LE is a budget telescoping option that prioritizes the first two.
It folds like a real CTR. The stock slides back and forth through a series of detents so you can dial in the length of pull to your shoulder and your loadout. The front end folds forward for transport or storage, and a pin on the lower section locks it in place when deployed. Length is adjustable, but the internal tube is shorter than the full-length CRW or LMT designs — if you're running a large stick pack, the buffer space is limited. That's the trade with budget retractables: they're lighter, but they don't swallow as much battery room as the namebrand metal versions.
Lightweight build. The entire thing is polymer and weighs 7 oz, which is noticeably lighter than an aluminum CTR. You won't have the same heft or the same premium feel in your shoulder on full-auto, but for the weight-conscious player or anyone who just wants adjustability without adding bulk, it does the job. The sling swivel is fixed on the bottom — enough for a single-point setup.
Compatibility. It fits Dboys, JG, Tokyo Marui, and most M4-pattern AEG rifles that use a standard M4 buffer tube. If your rifle takes a CTR-style replacement, this drops in. M4 magazine patterns mean spare mags are universal and cheap anywhere, so feeding the gun is never a concern.
Before you buy. This is an entry-level polymer stock. If you want full metal and don't mind the weight, look at the namebrand options. If you just need something that adjusts, folds, and isn't expensive &mdash especially on a build where the rest of the rifle is budget-tier — this is fine.
