If you're looking for a bolt-action sniper that punches above its price, the Double Bell VSR-10 is where many players start. It runs on the Tokyo Marui VSR-10 blueprint, which means you're not locking yourself into a proprietary platform. The internals follow the same layout, so springs and most upgrade parts are interchangeable with the broader VSR-10 ecosystem.
What the numbers mean. Rated 450–460 FPS on 0.20g BBs. That puts you in the typical outdoor sniper range (450–550 FPS on 0.20g) and clears most field limits for semi-auto sniper roles. It is not a CQB rifle. If your local field runs 350 FPS indoor caps, you'll need a weaker spring or a shorter barrel swap to stay legal.
Where the build saves you money. Polymer body with a metal outer barrel keeps the weight down while giving you a solid mounting surface for scopes. The faux-wood finish is cosmetic, but the metal bolt and trigger box are the parts that matter. The VSR-10 platform is known for needing a reinforced 90-degree steel sear trigger group if you plan to run heavier springs—factory plastic sears can chip under the stress of M120+ springs. The stock spring sits in the M100 range, so you have room to tune upward if your field allows it.
Hop-up and accuracy. Adjustable external hop-up is a baseline requirement for any sniper. This one uses the traditional lever-and-wheel design, which works fine for breaking in and learning, but most players upgrade to a rotary chamber for better shot-to-shot consistency. A 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel and a quality bucking (Maple Leaf or similar) will do more for your grouping than a faster spring ever will. Velocity without a good hop-up just gives you a loud, inconsistent gun.
What's in the box and what you'll need. You get the rifle, a 25-round low-profile magazine, and the manual. That's it. No scope, no bipod, no BBs. The magazine is compatible with other Double Bell VSR-10 mags, and the VSR-10 mag pattern is well-supported across the aftermarket. Plan on picking up heavier BBs—0.36g to 0.40g match grade—for outdoor use. Lighter BBs will over-hop and group wide at distance.
Before you buy. This is a spring rifle, so every shot requires a manual bolt cycle. If you're coming from an AEG, the rate of fire is going to feel slow. That's the role: hold a position, take measured shots, and respect the MED rules. At 43 inches overall, it's not a tight-space weapon. And if your field requires blaze orange muzzle tips, check whether this model ships with one or if you need to add an adapter.
