Your AEG feeds by the tappet plate retracting the nozzle so a BB can chamber. Over time, the sector gear tooth wears the tappet's engagement surface, and the first sign is a gun that double-chambers, feeds inconsistently, or stops cycling altogether. This is Element's replacement tappet for Version 3 gearboxes.

What it does. The tappet plate sits in the front of the gearbox. Every cycle, the sector gear pushes it rearward to pull the air nozzle back, letting a BB rise from the magazine into the cylinder head. A return spring snaps it forward when the piston resets. The engagement point where the sector tooth contacts the tappet is the wear location, and once it gets chewed down enough, the nozzle doesn't retract far enough and the feed window gets blocked.

Fitment. Designed for standard Version 3 gearboxes found in AK, AK74, G36, AUG, SIG, and MP5K-style AEGs. If your gun uses a V3, this is the tappet plate you need. It will not fit a Version 2 gearbox — those are a different shape entirely.

When to swap it. If your gun is double-chambering, you're already past where it should be. The best time to replace a tappet is the first time you notice feed hiccups rather than waiting for a full malfunction mid-game. They're a cheap part to carry as a spare in your maintenance kit.

Includes one tappet plate.
