The FMA Fast SF is a Fast SF–style helmet in ABS with a flip-up half mask that solves a simple problem: you want full-face protection at a CQB game but you don't want to wear it at the lobby or when you're running an outdoor skirmish.

How the mask works. The half mask snaps onto the lower receiver of the helmet and flips out of the way when you need it. Drop it back down before you step onto the field, and it covers the lower half of your face behind clear visor-style eye protection. It's not as thorough as a full-face mask or a dedicated goggle setup, but for a field that doesn't require a full goggle system, it gives you something between a bare face and a full BVS. The mask comes off cleanly when you want to wear a separate goggle or mask instead.

Protection that doesn't weigh you down. The shell is ABS plastic — not polycarbonate, not fiberglass — which means it's light at roughly 1.7 lbs for the whole package, but it won't survive a direct hit from a high-velocity field gun the way a heavier material would. For casual play, training, and milsim-style events where contact velocity is controlled, it does the job. If your field runs hard or you play regularly, consider it a good helmet with useful face protection rather than the whole safety system.

Fit and comfort. It's the fast-adopted military profile — lower bulk around the cheeks and ears than a full ballistic helmet, and a narrower silhouette. The large size fits the bigger end of the head range. You get a padded sweatband inside, and the half mask attaches without needing additional tools. The whole thing is straightforward to put on and take off, which matters when you're cycling between lobby, range, and game.

What you should know. This is ABS, so don't expect it to take abuse the way a heavier shell would. It's suitable for the kind of play where the helmet protects you from headshots at reasonable velocity, but it's not a field-rated safety helmet for a combat simulation event. The mask offers basic facial coverage — it will deflect BBs, but it won't shield you the way a hard-shell mask or full-face protection would against a direct hit from close range. Bring your own goggle strap if you want to secure eyewear separately.
