A pump-action shotgun that fires spreads, not singles. The Golden Eagle M8874 replicates the Remington 870 Tactical body — full metal receiver, outer barrel, magazine tube, and forend — and puts that weight on an adjustable M4 crane stock. The whole thing weighs four pounds with gas, so it carries the solid heft of a real shotgun without being a burden to shoulder.
How the 3/6-shot system works. Instead of one shot per pump, the M8874 has a selector for 3-shot or 6-shot spread. You cycle the forend, and the shotgun discharges the selected number of BBs in a single burst. You pump again, it fires again. Rapid fire is possible — cycle the action as fast as your hands will go, and it keeps firing spread after spread. It sounds nothing like an AEG, and it's the reason you'd pick a shotgun over a rifle in the first place.
What a spread buys you at the field. You don't need to put every BB on target. Three or six BBs spread across a small area means more chances to tag someone in a tight lane. That's the advantage. The downside is that a spread loses energy and density fast — this is a CQB gun. At outdoor distances the pattern dissipates before it does meaningful work.
Velocity that's shotgun-appropriate. Rated 260–300 FPS on 0.20g BBs. That's slow enough that most fields let you play without demanding a long MED, and fast enough to be noticeable at CQB distances. Chrono with your own BBs before game day — green gas pressure, temperature, and BB weight all move the number. If you're running outdoor fields with higher velocity caps, this shotgun is not competing with field AEGs at 400, and it won't.
You get everything you need to start. The package includes the gun itself, six extra shotgun shells, cans of green gas, and a bag of 0.25g BBs. Each shell holds 30 rounds, so the included shells give you 180 shots before you reload a shell from the carrier. There's a built-in shell carrier on the receiver that holds six more shells, so you can reload on the fly mid-game. Gas shotgun play burns through gas, so plan on having refills on hand.
Externals. The metal receiver, outer barrel, magazine tube, top rail, stock, and forend mean there's very little polymer on this gun. A 20mm Weaver/Picatinny rail runs along the top of the receiver, with flip-up front and rear iron sights. The M4 crane stock folds and adjusts through six positions, and includes QD sling swivel points on each side. The A2-style grip sits on the stock body and mirrors the feel of an AR-style carbine.
What this is not for. It's not a long-range gun. It's not an outdoor field AEG. It's a close-quarters shotgun designed to sound loud, carry real weight, and fire a pattern that makes tight-space engagements fun. If you want to trade shots across a field, reach for a rifle.
Includes federally mandated blaze orange muzzle tip.
