The KJW Xcelerator 6" solves a specific problem for the gas-blowback shooter: how do you get competitive velocity and a full-size platform without stepping into the full-frame 5-inch Hi-CAPA that dominates the category? This is the six-inch competition build in a pistol that still fits in a tactical holster, and it delivers the extra barrel length's benefits—smoother hop-up adjustment and better air-seal consistency—without the bulk of a true long-slide.
What the numbers mean. Rated 300–320 FPS on 0.20g BBs. That clears most indoor CQB caps comfortably and sits well under typical outdoor AEG limits, so you can take it to fields that run both environments. As always, chrono with your own BBs before your first game—CO2 pressure shifts with temperature, and heavier BBs will move the number down.
CO2 over green gas. This runs on standard 12g CO2 capsules, not green gas. The higher pressure gives you more consistent velocity in cold weather and a firmer blowback impulse, which is why GBBR builders often choose CO2 for winter skirmishing. The trade-off is that CO2 puts more stress on seals over time, so you'll want to oil valve seals regularly and expect slightly higher gas consumption per shot.
The Hi-CAPA platform advantage. Built to Hi-CAPA specifications, so the aftermarket is massive. If you want to tune velocity, swap the recoil spring. If you want better accuracy, install a 6.03mm precision inner barrel and a matched hop-up bucking. If you want faster cycling, go lighter on the blowback housing. None of this requires proprietary parts—standard Hi-CAPA GBB components fit, and they're available from multiple manufacturers.
Externals that matter. Metal slide and barrel over a polymer grip frame keeps weight at 2 lbs without feeling cheap. The railed frame lets you mount a light or laser. The flared magwell speeds reloads. The adjustable front sight and ambidextrous safety give you positive control either way. The skeletonized hammer and lightweight trigger reduce pull weight for competition-style shooting.
What's in the box. The pistol, one 31-round CO2 magazine, and the manual. That's it. CO2 cartridges are not included, and neither is a magazine loader. Plan on picking up a pack of 12g cartridges, a magazine filler, and at least two extra mags—gas blowback pistols burn through rounds faster than you think, and the 31-round capacity empties quickly on rapid semi-auto fire if your field allows it.
Before you buy. This is a gas pistol, not an AEG. It won't give you the consistent trigger response of an electric, and it requires more maintenance—cleaning the slide rails, oiling seals, checking the hop-up chamber. It's also not Canada-compliant, so if you're north of the border, this won't clear customs. Finally, the 6-inch barrel adds length: check your holster compatibility if you're carrying concealed or using a tactical setup.
Includes federally mandated blaze orange muzzle tip.
