1000D nylon polyester is the same weight class used for field bags and load-bearing gear, so it holds up to brush, mud, and repeated wash cycles rather than pilling after a couple of games. At roughly 0.2 lbs, you won't notice it on your head.

The surface carries hook-and-loop panels so you can stick on morale patches, branch tabs, or unit velcro without marring the helmet underneath. Most airsoft tactical helmets fit under it; your actual helmet is not included.
