Most fields split their BB recommendations into two camps: light for CQB and indoor, heavy for outdoor and wind. The Lancer Tactical Streamline 0.40g sits in the heavier camp. That weight buys you stability in crosswinds, better energy retention downrange, and more consistent grouping with a well-tuned hop-up. It is not the choice for a 350 FPS indoor field, but it is exactly what you want for outdoor skirmish where the wind is a factor.

Why 0.40g matters. Heavier BBs drop slower than light ones at the same velocity because they carry more momentum. A 0.40g round also resists wind drift better than 0.25g or 0.28g, which is why outdoor players often run 0.36g to 0.43g in their primary. The trade-off is that your gun needs enough power to push it properly. A weak spring or an under-gassed GBB will starve a 0.40g, giving you short range and poor accuracy instead of the promised stability.

What the 500-round count means. This is a small bucket, not a bulk case. Five hundred rounds lasts maybe one or two games depending on your rate of fire and whether you're the one getting pinned down. If you burn through mags quickly, you will want to grab a 1000-round or 5000-round case for value. The white color makes the BBs visible on the ground, which helps with tracking shots and spotting misfires during a match.

Before you buy. Check your field's BB weight rules. Some indoor and CQB fields cap at 0.25g or 0.28g. Outdoor fields generally allow 0.40g and above, but always confirm before you show up with a box of 0.43s. Also verify your gun can handle the weight. A stock AEG with a light spring may struggle to cycle 0.40g reliably; you may need a stronger spring, a better motor, or a full power upgrade to get consistent performance.

Comes in a bucket. BBs are not reloadable, and you should only use them in 6mm airsoft replicas.
