A ballistic helmet for the field without the tactical-webbing premium. Built on a full hard-shell design that covers more of the head than a cap-style rig, the Lancer Tactical Ballistic helmet is for players who want real head protection—full frontal, side coverage, a rear brim—without spending half a game's budget on the thing.

What it is, physically. The shell is injection-molded ABS plastic. It's not fiberglass, not Kevlar, not a composite. ABS is the right material here: it's impact-distributing, fairly light, and common across mid-range protective gear in airsoft and paintball. The helmet has a proper suspension liner with foam padding and an adjustable headband. You'll want to spend fifteen minutes setting the fit and working the padding into your head shape before you run it at a field—new suspension liners are firm and will shift over the first couple of games.

Mounting side rails. The sides carry Picatinny-style rails, which is what this "ballistic" variant gets over the cap-style versions. You can mount a basic clip-on night-vision clip, a side-mount torch, or nothing at all. They're functional but not precision-machined—standard gear fits, and if you're doing full tactical cosplay you might want to reinforce mounting points, but for most players they do exactly what's needed.

What else goes in the box. The helmet arrives as a standalone piece—no goggles, no chinstrap, no NV risers. You'll need a separate goggle set and a chinstrap if you run it for fast movement or CQB. The suspension liner adjusts via the rear dial mechanism; turn it clockwise to tighten, counter-clockwise to loosen. Once you dial it in, it stays.

Comfort notes. It's not the lightest helmet you'll hold, and it will get warm on a summer game day. The foam pads are breathable enough for milsim-length events, but if you play in heat, plan on a hydration vest rather than a neck gaiter layered up. The rear brim has a small rope-loop for a chinstrap—any standard webbing knot works.

Not a full-face protector. Still wear eye and face protection with this.
