The BJ Type Basic Helmet is a no-nonsense protective helmet for airsoft players who want solid head protection without the bulk or the price tag of a full facemask combo. Built from polymer, it's lightweight enough to wear all day at a skirmish and robust enough to take a hit if a BB finds an opening.

Fit and comfort. The helmet comes with padded lining that sits against your head to reduce pressure points during long game days. The padding helps it stay put without needing a strap under your chin, though if you play in a lot of movement-heavy CQB or run through dense terrain, a simple retention strap underneath is worth adding. It's not built for the kind of high-impact falls that justify a real-world climbing or military helmet — it's designed for BB impact protection.

Velcro panel. A front-facing Velcro patch area is included so you can slap on a unit panel, faction logo, or morale patch. This keeps the rest of the helmet clean and doesn't require buying a separate cover. The panel is pre-sewn and sits squarely where you'd expect it — no awkward off-center placement that makes a patch look misplaced.

What it is. A basic tactical helmet for players who want their head covered and don't need a full-face system. It works well as a standalone piece for casual play, or as a base layer if you swap between open-face and full-face setups depending on the field's rules. If your field requires a full-face mask (most indoor CQB fields do), this helmet still works under one — it's designed to sit comfortably beneath standard airsoft masks without shifting around.

Externals. Polymeric construction keeps the weight down. The helmet covers the top and sides of the head, with room for ear protection or comms if you want to run a headset underneath. The included velcro panels let you customize the front without adhesives that damage the shell or leave sticky residue when you want to change them.
