Lancer Tactical M130 Piano Wire AEG Spring

The M130 is a piano-wire upgrade spring for standard Version 2 AEG gearboxes. Drop it in, and you get more punch out of the same gearbox. Lancer Tactical is one of the higher-trust names in springs, and the piano wire construction holds tension better than the budget music wire springs that ship in the box.

Where it lands. An M130 pushes roughly 340 to 360 FPS on 0.20g BBs in a stock setup, which puts you near the top of most outdoor field limits. It is a meaningful step up from the factory M90 or M100 most rifles ship with, while still running on a stock high-torque motor without the motor stalling under load.

That is general territory — actual velocity depends on your gearbox's air seal, cylinder choice, and inner barrel length. Chrono with your own BBs before game day. Temperature matters, too: a spring reads lower in cold weather because the gas pressure drops.

Before you buy. This is a gearbox spring, not a spring guide. It drops into any standard V2 shell — M4, M16, G3, MP5, and most western platforms — but you will need to split the gearbox to install it. If your setup already runs heavy springs and a speed gear set, this may be too much tension for your motor. Pairing a stiffer spring with a high-torque motor is the reliable combination; a speed motor under an M130 is how people cook batteries and stall out.

What it is not. An M130 is a solid middle-ground upgrade, not a sniper-weight spring. It sits well below the M140-M160 territory that DMR and bolt-action builds run. If you're chasing range beyond 200 feet, a stiffer spring helps only if your hop-up and air seal can back it up.
