The tappet plate sits at the rear of a Version 2 gearbox. When the sector gear pulls the piston back, a tooth on its underside pushes the tappet plate rearward, which retracts the air nozzle and lets a BB rise into the chamber. It's a small part that does one job, and when the original wears or cracks, the whole cycle goes noisy and inconsistent.


This replacement is polycarbonate — the standard material choice for the job. Lighter than steel and less prone to grinding on the piston, which is why most V2 gearboxes ship with one from the factory. Fits any Version 2 gearbox, which covers the vast majority of Western-platform AEGs: M4, MP5, G3, and everything built around that shell.
