A helmet for anyone wanting head protection and mounting points without the full-size price tag. The Lancer Tactical Fast PJ Type is a low-profile design with an extended back section that covers more of the rear of the head. It's not a ballistic helmet—won't stop a BB or anything heavier—so it's really about protecting against bumps and scrapes in the periphery of a game.
How it fits. The PJ profile sits lower than a full-size FAST on your head, which keeps the profile tight under a hood or in close quarters, and the extended rear panel gives more coverage to the back. A fabric cover is sewn onto the shell—it stays on, it holds MOLLE patches, and it provides a little extra grip so things don't shift. Strip the cover off and the polymer underneath is textural enough that a headsock works fine.
Mounting gear. The side rails are the useful part. Picatinny-compatible rails bolted to the left and right sides let you attach NVG brackets, comms booms, lights, or a camera rig without hunting for an adapter. The included NVG shroud clips to the front and lets you mount a monocular or binos on a PVS-style rail. If you run an NGNV or want to swing the bracket out for daytime play, the shroud handles that.
Build. Nylon polymer shell and interior harness. Light compared to steel or a full-size composite helmet, which is the point. Dark Earth throughout. Lancer's gear tends to be functional first, pretty second—this is no exception. You're paying for the shape and the rails, not a brand tax.
Before you buy. Lancer helmets use a standard sizing scheme but can run snug on first wear until the padding breaks in. Account for a beanie or balaclava when picking a size. The NVG shroud is a one-piece clip-on, not a full front perimeter rail, so a complete dual-rail NVG setup won't attach to it—you'd need to swap or supplement.
Includes the helmet, side rails, and NVG shroud.
