Lancer Tactical L4 Series Helmet Shroud w/ Lanyard, Foliage Green

Helmet shrouds are one of those parts you don't notice until one snaps, and then you're trying to mount your night vision to a smooth-edged piece of cracked plastic. The L4 Series hybrid shroud is Lancer's replacement — and it's the version you'd pick if you were building one from scratch instead of sticking with the original.

How it holds. It clamps to the sides of a 1-hole or 3-hole MICH or ACH helmet with standard hardware. The rear face carries a lanyard clamp that grips between your NVG mounting bracket and the shroud, so your optics can't slide forward or drop when you bend down. That's the single thing that separates this from a plain replacement shroud. Without it, you're trusting a friction fit to keep your night vision in place while moving through brush or crawling through a window.

Materials that make sense. The main shell is aluminum with a polymer insert and a rubber base gasket. Aluminum handles the impact and torque better than the polymer shrouds these helmets shipped with for years. The rubber base is a grip layer between the metal and the helmet, so the whole assembly doesn't slowly walk under vibration. The polymer part interfaces with the NVG bracket to prevent metal-on-metal wear and reduce rattles.

Fits the common helmets. It's designed for 1-hole and 3-hole MICH/ACH-pattern helmets. If you've got an Ops-Core or a 5.11 style with different side rails, it won't mount.
