You want more range and impact out of your AEG. Dropping in a heavier spring is the most direct way to get there — and the M190 is one of the heaviest options in the line.
What the M190 rating means. Spring ratings are a rough guide to the velocity the spring produces in a standard setup. An M190 pushes well beyond field AEG territory — think upper DMR range or entry-level bolt-action speeds on 0.20g BBs, depending on your cylinder, barrel length, and air seal. The rating is not a promise, and real-world FPS moves with BB weight, temperature, and break-in, so chrono your result before game day.
Piano wire construction. This is spring steel to piano wire spec. Piano wire is a high-carbon alloy known for retaining tension and resisting fatigue under repeated load, which matters when you are running a spring this heavy.
Compatibility. Rated for most full-metal gearboxes, which is the right warning — the stress an M190 puts on your internals is substantial. A cast gearbox running stock bushings and a standard motor is asking for stripped teeth. Plan on pairing this with a torque motor, proper shimming, and ideally sintered bushings or ball bearings. If your spring does not come out through the back of the box, swapping it means splitting the gearbox, which is a job that needs patience and the right tools.
What this is not for. An M190 is not a casual upgrade for a stock field rifle. The heavier spring raises current draw, motor heat, and stress on every gear in the chain. It belongs in a build that has been reinforced to handle it.
