The PJ style is the helmet that immediately reads as US special operations to anyone in the hobby. It's named after the distinctive monocular helmet worn by US SOCOM pilots and operators in the early 2000s — the one with the single grommet cutout, the low profile, and the soft outer shell. If your loadout is going for that look, this helmet gets it right without breaking the bank.

About the fit. L/XL is the larger size for this model. Try it on with whatever headset or ear pro you run at a field. The internal padding is fixed, so a chunky gaming headset might push it higher on your head than you'd like. A slim cap or balaclava underneath helps with both comfort and keeping the thing from shifting when you're moving.

Build and mounting. The shell is polymer, and it comes with a webbed inner harness that accepts standard threaded mounts. If you want to rig it for NVGs or a monocular, that thread point is there and works. The exterior carries sew-on PALS panels for patches, plus MOLLE strips along the sides where you can add accessories. It's not a full-coverage combat helmet, so don't expect a solid rail to run along the whole perimeter — it's a soft-shell PJ with selective mounting points.

What it protects you from. A polymer helmet like this will take a glancing BB better than your bare scalp would, but it's not rated to stop a direct hit at close range. Wear it when you're playing in areas where overhead foliage, scaffolding, or loose BBs make head protection a good idea. For serious BBU mitigation, a proper full-face mask is where the protection lives.

Before you buy. The helmet ships by itself — no headset, no NVG mounts, no patches. If you're building a full PJ loadout you'll want a suitable monocular or NVG rig, plus patches to sell the look. The colorway is AT (Army Tan).
