LCT's Half Teeth Polycarbonate Piston puts steel teeth on the section of the rack that takes the heaviest load — where the sector gear engages under full spring pressure — and leaves the rest as polycarbonate. That keeps strength where it's needed while cutting mass everywhere else, which matters because a lighter piston is easier to accelerate and kinder on your gears at both ends of the stroke. It fits all Tokyo Marui compatible standard gearboxes. Whichever piston you fit, protect it by checking angle of engagement before you close the shell: if the sector gear catches the rack at the wrong point, it strips the first tooth regardless of what it's made of.
