The SHS Silent Bore Up Piston Head is built for standard Version 2 gearboxes. Its larger diameter, matched with a bore-up cylinder, moves more air per stroke, which is what a long inner barrel needs to stay pressurised. It uses stainless steel where strength matters, polycarbonate to keep the mass down, and rubber for the seal and a damping pad that absorbs the piston's impact, which quietens the rifle and cuts shock through the assembly.
