The gas piston makes the break-barrel action smoother and easier to cock than a traditional metal spring. Because it uses a gas strut, it has less vibration and can be left cocked while you wait for a shot without damaging the internals. It puts out 32 ft. lbs. of muzzle energy and hits velocities up to 1,100 FPS. The rifled barrel helps stabilize those shots so you aren't sacrificing accuracy for power at longer ranges.
