The WellFire 1911 G198 is for players who want a realistic sidearm without the gas blowback complexity. It runs on 12g CO2 cartridges instead of green gas, which means more consistent power and better performance in cold weather when GBB pistols tend to falter. This is the backup gun you grab when your primary is charging, or the training tool for dry-fire practice that still gives you blowback feedback.
What you're getting. Full metal slide, frame, and outer barrel with textured polymer grip panels. The metal construction gives it real weight—noticeably heavier than polymer alternatives—and the 1911 form factor is accurate enough for milsim loadouts. The gun features both a beavertail and ambidextrous thumb safety, so you can manipulate controls left or right-handed. It breaks down with standard field stripping, no tools required beyond the included Allen key for minor adjustments.
Velocity and field use. Rated 300–350 FPS on 0.20g BBs. That puts you inside most indoor CQB caps, though some tight fields may still require you to chrono down. As with any CO2 pistol, temperature and BB weight will move the number, so check your chronograph before your first game.
The 16-round reality. The included magazine holds 16 rounds, which is realistic for a single-stack 1911 but means you'll burn through mags fast. The G198 accepts most single-stack CO2 1911 magazines, so you can source spares from the broader 1911 ecosystem rather than hunting proprietary WellFire parts. Budget at least three or four extras if you plan on skirmishing.
What it is not. This is not a Tokyo Marui platform. The internals are custom, so aftermarket drop-in upgrades from the Marui ecosystem won't fit. You're not buying this to tune it—you're buying it for the out-of-box experience and realistic manual of arms. If you want a project gun, look elsewhere.
Before you buy. CO2 cartridges are not included. You'll need to buy 12g CO2 caps separately, along with a good quality 0.20g or 0.25g BBs. The package includes a small sample bag, but that's for testing, not a game. You'll also want a hardshell holster that fits a full-size 1911 and some silicone oil for periodic seal maintenance. Battery and charger are not applicable—this is purely mechanical.
Includes federally mandated blaze orange muzzle tip.
