A bolt action at this price is about building a dependable sniper platform from the start, and that's what this does.

What's built into it. The rifle runs on a bolt-action single-shot cycle with an adjustable hop-up, so you set backspin for distance and tune it with your BB weight. The metal receiver and outer barrel are the right call: they add weight over an all-polymer build, but metal barrels track straighter and the receiver handles scope mounting without flex. Polymer body and stock keep things manageable on long holds. At 46.3 inches overall, the profile matches a real M40A3 and fits a dedicated marksman role on outdoor fields.

The rails and ergonomics. There's a full-length Picatinny rail on top for optics. The receiver has a textured grip, the stock is fixed, and there are sling attachment loops at front and rear. This is a platform you mount things to, and the top rail is the primary place to do it.

If you play mostly indoor, look at an AEG or GBBR instead.

Before you run it. Chrono with the BBs you plan to play — the rated 370–380 FPS is on 0.20g, and 0.30g BBs will read slower at the muzzle, which is exactly what you want for hop-up consistency. A well-set bolt action at 350 FPS on 0.32g out-ranges a field AEG turned up to 400 on 0.20g — range is hop-up and BB weight, not raw velocity. Verify your field's bolt-action velocity limit and adjust the hop to match.
