WellFire builds the lower frame from polymer, while the outer barrel, receiver assembly, top optics rail, and bolt are metal. The platform weighs 8 pounds total. The factory package contains the rifle, a 25-round magazine, and a user manual.

Customization is simple because the internal system uses standard APS/Type 96 dimensions rather than a proprietary layout. Compatible upgrade parts are widely available across aftermarket manufacturers. Replacing the stock parts with a tight-bore steel inner barrel and a soft hop-up bucking improves shot consistency and shrinks downrange groupings. If you install higher velocity springs later to increase range, you must upgrade the factory cylinder components to a reinforced metal piston and a 90-degree steel trigger sear to prevent component failure under the increased tension.
