Full-face protection is the most comfortable way to wear gear all day. You can breathe through it, talk through it, and you don't have the strap fatigue that comes from goggles pinching your temples by game two. The Villain Skull from AMA is a full-face mesh mask that covers everything from forehead to chin, with the metal weave forming a skull pattern across the front.

How it protects. The face area is welded steel mesh, which is the standard impact material for airsoft face protection. BBs deflect off the mesh rather than punching through it. The frame around the opening is polymer, and the whole unit is held on by elastic straps that wrap around the head. The mesh keeps your peripheral vision wide, and there's no fogging to worry about since you're not looking through a lens.

Before you buy. This mask covers the face only — it does not include eye protection. You'll want goggles or a clear visor for eye coverage. The elastic straps fit well for most head sizes but are not the same as an adjustable ratchet system, so if you run it under a helmet, the combined fit is worth checking before you head to the field. This is the Nomad variant.
