The bucking is the rubber sleeve that sits inside your hop-up chamber and is the one piece of rubber that actually touches every BB. It is where your backspin comes from, and it matters more to your grouping at distance than the hop-up housing, the nub, or the adjustment mechanism.
What the 60 degree rating means. AMA rates bucking hardness on a scale where 60 is soft. That gives you a more aggressive grip on lighter BBs and a longer contact arc, which is the whole point of running soft. It shines with 0.20g rounds on tight indoor lanes and short-MED fields, and it handles standard 0.25g outdoor loads fine. Trade-off: soft rubber wears faster. Expect to replace this one sooner than a 70 or 75 degree if you run a lot of rounds through it.
Type-B profile. That is the shape. The Type-B is the most common cut and fits inside the majority of aftermarket and factory hop-up units. Some narrower chambers still need a Type-A. If yours accepts standard aftermarket buckings, this will drop in.
A note on pairings. Soft bucking with lighter BBs is the standard indoor setup. If you switch to 0.28g or 0.32g for outdoor range work, the soft rubber struggles to grip the heavier rounds cleanly and your grouping goes sideways. The fix is a harder bucking matched to the BB weight you are running.
Ships with the bucking, nothing else. You'll need to open your hop-up to install it.
