The AAP-01 is a solid GBB pistol, but the stock magwell isn't great for speed. This Type 2 magwell from Atlas Custom Works fixes that — CNC aluminum, machined to drop right over the original on an Action Army AAP-01 series pistol.

What it does. The flared opening catches the magazine on the first try, even under pressure. The AAP-01 eats Action Army AEP (M1911-pattern) magazines, and those mags are widely available, so you're not locked into a single supplier. The magwell itself holds no rounds — it's purely a funnel, but a precise one. The Type 2 profile is aggressive enough to be useful without looking like an aftermarket add-on in a carry holster.

Fit and finish. It's solid CNC aluminum, black, and machined to the AAP-01's dimensions. No play, no wobble, no filing. The Action Army AAP-01 is itself a faithful reproduction of the 1911 with GBB internals, so the magwell's job is invisible in use: you reload faster, you spend less time staring at your grip, and nobody at the field knows you swapped it. That's how you want it.

What you need. The magwell is the only thing in the box. Your AAP-01 still needs gas, a battery (if you're running an AEP mag adapter), and magazines. Action Army AEP mags are universal across the AAP-01, AAP-02, and compatible 1911-pattern GBB platforms.

Includes federally mandated blaze orange muzzle tip — or rather, the pistol it fits does. This magwell doesn't touch the muzzle.
