The Action Army AAP-01 is a fine Hi-Capa-style pistol, but like many in the class, its polymer magazine well narrows quickly. Under pressure, that taper turns simple mag swaps into a fiddly exercise in precision alignment. This magwell from Atlas Custom Works solves that by flaring the opening back out.

What it does. The Type 2 profile replaces the factory polymer well with a wider, more forgiving flare. Mag inserts become faster and more reliable, which matters more on a pistol than a rifle since you're often making that first mag change with one hand, under fatigue, or in low light. The CNC aluminum body holds up to repeated mag impacts without cracking or deforming the way polymer can.

Build quality. It's machined from solid aluminum, not cast or injection-molded, so the tolerances are tight and the fit against the lower receiver is clean. The red anodized finish is a choice, not a specification — install it and that's the look. Hardware is included.

Compatibility. This is built specifically for the Action Army AAP-01 series. If your pistol is an AAP-01 variant, it drops in. If it's a different platform or a different Action Army model, it won't. Double-check before you order.
