The Hi-Capa is a competition platform where every millimeter of grip geometry affects your draw, your reload, and your split times. The stock polymer grip works, but it flexes under pressure and offers limited texture options. The Atlas Custom Works Type 5 Grip replaces that with CNC aluminum, which does not deform when you're squeezing hard during a stage.

What you actually get. This is a complete grip assembly. It includes the aluminum frame with textured grip panels. The magwell is sized for skinny competition mags, so if you run standard Hi-Capa mags you may need to check fit before your first stage.

Weight and balance. At 200 grams the aluminum grip is heavier than polymer, and that shifts the balance point rearward. For some shooters that improves stability during slow fire. For others who prioritize speed, the added weight is a trade-off. If you are chasing the lightest possible loadout, stay with polymer. If you want rigidity and a solid feel, the aluminum is worth the grams.

Fit and compatibility. The Type 5 is built for Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa platforms and clones that follow the same dimensions. It will not fit a different pistol platform. Installation requires basic gunsmithing: you are removing the stock grip and installing the new grip. If you have not done this before, budget time for a careful first install and keep the stock parts in case you want to revert.

What is not included. The package contains the grip assembly only. You will need your own Hi-Capa pistol. Atlas Custom Works offers a 45-day warranty, and returns are accepted within 30 days if the fit is not what you expected.
