What the Type 9 actually is. Atlas Custom Works designed this as a complete grip module replacement. The CNC aluminum grip frame replaces the original polymer lower, the magwell integrates into the front to speed reloads, and the trigger guard and hammer spring housing match the new profile. You're not piecing together separate upgrades — the kit comes with the grip, magwell, trigger guard, hammer spring housing, and the assembly screws you need to put it on.

Why aluminum matters. The original Hi Capa grip is durable but light and polymer-textured. CNC aluminum adds weight low in the hand, which steadies the muzzle during rapid fire. It also resists the wear that comes from holstering and field use.

Fit and compatibility. This is made for the Tokyo Marui Hi Capa GBBP series — that covers the standard 5-inch and 6-inch models. It does not fit aftermarket frames like the SRC or VFC Hi Capa replicas, which have different internal dimensions. If you have a TM frame, the fit should be clean without fitting or sanding.

What you'll notice after install. The magwell funnel makes top-off mags easier to seat, especially with speed mags. The grip angle is slightly more aggressive, which some players prefer for one-handed shooting. The added weight is noticeable compared to the polymer original.

Before you buy. This is a grip module, not a full frame rebuild. It does not change the slide, barrel, or internal gas system.
