The Hi-Capa platform dominates competitive airsoft because it's modular and accurate. The stock frame works, but it's polymer and can flex under heavy use. The Atlas Custom Works EX-02 replaces it with CNC machined aluminum, which means a stiffer platform that holds zero better and looks like a proper competition build.

What changes with the frame. You get a solid aluminum receiver with a built-in micro dot mount and sight guard, so optics stay aligned. The integrated thumb rest gives a consistent grip position for fast draws and transitions. Weight comes in at 10.6 oz, which is light for a full metal frame but adds enough heft to counteract muzzle climb during rapid fire.

Internals included. The kit ships with a recoil spring guide, lightweight nozzle housing, and hammer housing. These aren't decorative — they're the parts that see the most stress in a GBB slide cycle. Swapping them out as a set reduces the chance of a mismatched component causing a malfunction mid-match.

Fitment reality. This is built for Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa series pistols and similar GBB platforms. Some fitting may be required depending on your base gun. If you're new to Hi-Capa builds, budget time for a gunsmith or learn the basics of frame-to-slide fitment before you buy. This isn't a weekend project if you've never worked on a GBB before.

What it is not. This is a frame upgrade, not a complete pistol. You still need a slide, barrel, hop-up, and gas system. The EX-02 is the foundation you build around, not the finished product. If you want a turnkey competition gun, look at a complete build instead.
