If you're running a Tokyo Marui AKM GBB and want more rail space without swapping the whole upper, this is the upgrade. The Atlas Custom Works extended handguard replaces the factory wood or polymer forearm and adds a full-length top rail that runs further forward than stock. That's the difference between mounting a light where you want it versus where the original furniture allows.

What changes. The extended top rail gives you continuous Picatinny space along the upper receiver and forward, so optics, lights, lasers, and foregrips all share a common reference plane. No more fighting with offset mounts or finding the one spot where two accessories don't interfere. The handguard is built specifically for the TM AKM GBB platform, so it drops in without machining or permanent modification.

Externals and fit. Tan finish matches the common AK GBB colorways. The profile stays true to AK lines while modernizing the rail layout. You're working with a gas blowback platform, so the slide reciprocates with each shot—make sure your new rail setup doesn't interfere with the bolt carrier's travel path during installation.

Before you buy. This is a handguard only. The rifle, magazine, and gas source are not included. You'll need your usual AK GBB maintenance kit for the install—hex keys, a punch or drift for the pin, and a clean workspace. Once fitted, check that the gas block alignment is still correct and that the bolt cycles freely through the full travel.
