A vertical grip can feel like a wrist-twister. A forward grip doesn't give you the downward leverage you want when the trigger is pulled. This sits between the two: a CNC aluminum grip angled at 45 degrees that gives you the hand clearance of a forward grip and some of the recoil management of a vertical.
What you get. The Atlas Custom Works Type 2 Ultralight mounts to either M-LOK or KeyMod rails — it ships with both mounting hardware sets, so you pick which one your handguard uses. CNC aluminum throughout, black finish. The 45-degree angle puts your wrist in a more neutral position than a 90-degree vertical while still giving you downward control when you need it.
Who it's for. If you've never run a vertical grip and found the angle uncomfortable, this is the middle ground. The hand sits naturally, the grip clears overhead rails and sling hardware better than a full vertical, and you still get more control than a simple angled foregrip. It's not a replacement for a true vertical on a full-auto platform where maximum recoil management matters, but for most semi-auto use it strikes a practical balance.
The ultralight design keeps weight down without cutting corners on rigidity — it's solid, not hollow.
