If you're building a Hi-Capa around a specific trigger pull or slide weight, every external should earn its place. The Atlas Custom Works extra-wide ambidextrous thumb safety does two things: it gives you positive engagement with a broader surface area, and it lets left-handed shooters operate the safety without changing grip.

What "extra wide" actually means. The lever is machined wider than the factory piece, so your thumb finds it by feel rather than looking. In a competition stage or a tight draw, that half-second of searching adds up. The ambi version puts a second engagement point on the left side, which is the difference between a smooth transition and fumbling for the right-side lever.

Material and fit. This is stainless steel, not aluminum or polymer. It resists wear from repeated engagement and holds its shape under the spring pressure of the sear. The Gold finish is a surface treatment on the stainless, not a separate coating that can chip or wear through. It's machined to TM-spec dimensions, so it fits stock Hi-Capa frames without gunsmithing.

What it does not do. This is a safety lever only. It does not change your trigger pull weight, it does not affect velocity, and it does not include a spring or mounting hardware beyond what the factory part uses. You're upgrading ergonomics and ambidextrous access, not internals.

Before you buy. Installation requires basic gunsmithing: you'll need to field-strip the frame, remove the old safety, and install this one with the existing pin. If your frame has been modified or the sear geometry has been altered, fitment is not guaranteed. The package includes the safety lever only.
