Low-light skirmish and day-aiming, one unit. The X400 is an aluminum tactical light and green laser combo that slides onto any Picatinny rail. If you play CQB at night, run low-light milsim scenarios, or just want aiming help without a dedicated red dot, it's a single mount that covers both jobs.
Light plus laser, same footprint. The LED provides white light for target identification in dark corridors and low-light environments. The green laser gives a visible aiming point in daylight. You get both without mounting two separate units and splitting your rail real estate.
Mount and placement. It clamps to a standard Picatinny rail, so it slides and locks wherever you need it — front handguard, upper receiver, or weapon accessory rail. Lock it down tight so the rail clamp doesn't shift under blowback recoil or when you're clearing corners. Green laser alignment should be set at the chrono station before your first game, and rechecked if the unit takes a hard impact.
Field use. White light helps you identify friend or foe at close range in dark environments. It also gives you an edge in low-light CQB where most players are navigating blind. The trade-off: white light reveals your position to anyone with night vision optics. Green laser is visible in daylight conditions; effectiveness drops indoors and behind smoke.
Before you buy. Check the battery type and count — tactical lights of this size typically run on 18650 or AAA cells, and the X400 will specify which. Bring spares for games longer than an hour. Only the flashlight unit is included in the box.
The housing is aluminum, built to take field abuse. This is an aiming aid, not a weapon accessory that fires — it improves target acquisition at the distances where you're actually making contact calls.
