FMA Integrated Head Protection System Helmet, Black

For airsoft, an entry-level helmet is usually a plastic shell with a foam liner. This FMA Integrated Head Protection System is a step above that, built from ABS plastic with a suspension setup and a built-in guide rail on top for mounting lights or comms — features you usually see on pricier helmets.

Comfort and fit. Inside is an X-type pad system with four memory sponge cushions for the forehead and sides, held in place by a fabric frame. A dial on the back adjusts the frame to your head size, which matters because this version comes in a single size. The padding is sewn to a removable liner for washing. If your head shape is unusual, the dial may not be enough — try it on first if you can.

Mounting. The top of the shell has a guide rail running front to back, with hard points at the temples. That's enough for an IR light, a comms boom, or a camera mount. The rail is a proprietary FMA design — it works with FMA-branded accessories, but you'll need an adapter for Picatinny or M-LOK gear. Check compatibility before buying anything to mount.

Externals. The shell covers the top, sides, back, and forehead. Reflective blocks on the front and sides let you add Velcro patches. The material is ABS plastic with a painted finish, which is durable for skirmish play but not at the level of more expensive polycarbonate helmets. At 1160 grams, it's substantial but not a neck strain during long sessions.

Before you buy. This is the single-size version. The rear dial covers a range of head sizes, but some head shapes won't find a comfortable spot — try before you buy if possible.
