The VAS shroud is a simple piece of kit that solves a genuinely annoying problem: how do you mount an NVG pair, a bodycam, an IR illuminator, or any combination of the three on a helmet without resorting to zip ties, bungee cord, and wishful thinking? This is the Lancer Tactical answer — a dedicated metal mounting rail that bolts to the helmet and gives you a solid platform for whatever you need on the front.
What it's built from. All-metal construction in Dark Earth. No plastic brackets to crack at the first impact, no thin stamped steel that bends if you lean on it wrong. It carries weight, but that's the trade for a mount that actually holds gear in place when you're moving, crawling, or taking fire — or when the game is still new and everyone runs rougher than they intend.
What it holds. The shroud is designed to fit most standard NVG mounts on the front of a helmet, which covers the vast majority of setups in use. If you've got a bodycam clipped to one side, an IR light on the other, or just a single NVG pair centered — it gives you the mounting points and keeps everything from shifting around during play. The metal rail means you can adjust position and then trust it stays put.
Color. Dark Earth — a warm, muddy brown that goes with modern and multi-cam patterns, and doesn't shout across the field like black does at night. Matches the Lancer Tactical helmet line if you're building a coordinated setup.
Before you buy. This is a shroud only — the helmet and any NVGs, cameras, or lights are not included. Make sure your helmet has the threaded holes for this mount before bolting it on. If you're running a very old or non-standard helmet shell, check the pattern first.
