A selector plate is one of those internal gearbox parts that doesn't seem worth buying until the original cracks or the selector switch goes loose. Inside the MK36 gearbox, the selector plate routes the sector gear's motion to different fire modes — safe, semi, full auto — and over time the plastic wears, the detent stops clicking, or the lever breaks. This is a replacement plate built by Lancer Tactical for the MK36 series, in blue polymer with a copper contact insert.
What it does. It sits inside the gearbox behind the selector switch and provides the hardened track the sector gear rides in as you flip between modes. Worn plates cause inconsistent trigger response, loose selector feel, and in the worst case, the sector gear skips a mode entirely. Installing a new plate restores the crisp detent and reliable mode selection.
Material. Polymer body with a copper insert at the contact point where the sector gear rubs. The copper replaces the plastic track to extend life, and the plate is dimensioned to match the MK36 gearbox — no filing, no modification, drop-in. It's an internal component and ships as a bare plate with nothing else attached.
Before you buy. You'll need to split the gearbox to access it, which means this is a repair job, not a five-minute swap. If your selector switch is still crisp and there's no loose feel or skipped modes, you probably don't need it. It's a MK36-specific part and will not fit other Lancer Tactical gearboxes or any other manufacturer's platform.
