A replacement selector plate for the V3 AEG gearbox — the polymer plate with the metal lever you reach for between games and every time you cycle the selector after a mag change.
What this is. The selector plate is the small piece inside the gearbox that controls the firing-mode lever and sits between your hand and the internals every time you run the gun. Stock plates on V3 platforms are all polymer; the copper-colored lever you select fire mode with is part of the assembly. This replacement swaps that lever for copper and the plate itself for red polymer — a straightforward color choice that gives you something more visible inside an open box.
Why upgrade it. It's a polymer part cycling through the same motions as the trigger mechanism every time you play. If you're building a V3 gun — an AK, G36, AUG, or similar platform — and have the gearbox open, a copper-lever plate is cheap insurance against a cracked or worn stock plate. The metal lever also gives a more satisfying tactile click when you cycle between fire modes.
Fit. Version 3 compatible only — this goes into V3 gearboxes used in AK-pattern, G36, SIG MCX and similar platforms. It won't fit a V2 box. If your gun is an M4, MP5 or G3 derivative, you need the V2 version instead.
Before you buy. You only need this if you're already splitting the gearbox for another reason — a spring swap, a gearbox inspection, or a parts upgrade. The selector lever on a stock V3 rarely fails catastrophically, and the plate is something you replace when the box is already open and you want to spend the five minutes for an upgrade.
