A combat shirt that actually solves the problem most airsoft players hit without thinking about it until it ruins their game day: plate carriers rubbing cotton torso fabric raw after three hours of crawling and moving. The Gen4 uses a 93/7 cotton-spandex blend for the body, which is soft against the skin, moves when you move, and stays under a chest rig or carrier without bunching or fighting you.
The sleeves tell a different story. Fifty percent cotton, fifty percent polyester ripstop, reinforced where your gear wears fastest. You've got upper-arm pockets with zipper access and a flap behind it, Velcro panels for unit patches or morale embroidery, and adjustable cuffs to keep debris out or let air flow. The sleeves aren't just decoration: if you spend time in the prone or on your elbows, they're doing the work.
Elbow pads come with it. Removable EVA inserts sit in the sleeve pockets, so you don't have to buy a separate set of pads or fish around for them in a kit bag. They're not armor, but they'll save your sleeves from a quick scrape and keep your elbows warmer in cold weather than bare ripstop.
What the rest looks like. YKK-quality zippers throughout. A 1/3 zip collar that you can crack open for ventilation without stripping the whole shirt off. Ranger Green, a muted earth tone that reads like a color and not a flash warning. Full Velcro panels on both arms for patch work.
Who it's for. Players who run overplate carriers, chest rigs, or anything that sits against the torso and rubs. Good for milsim events where you're kit-ing up for hours, training sessions, and games where comfort matters more than shaving an ounce off your weight. The stretch torso also makes it forgiving if you're between sizes or just had a big meal before the match.
Who should look elsewhere. Hot-weather players who want breathable synthetic wicking across the whole body — the cotton torso will feel warm in mid-90s games. Competitive speed players who need absolute minimum weight. And if you're running a plate carrier with extremely tight fit, size up to avoid compression discomfort in the torso.
Fit note. Lancer's sizing leans generous compared to some manufacturers. XXL here is for the size chart XXL — check the brand's size guide rather than assuming your regular retail size. The stretch torso gives you a bit of leeway, but it's not a unisex oversized fit.
Includes removable EVA elbow pads.
