A shemagh is the simplest way to keep dust and sun off your face without adding weight to your loadout. This one from Lancer Tactical is 44 inches of 100% cotton, weighs 6 ounces, and folds into something you can toss in a pocket or a range bag.
Wear it however you need it. Wrap it as a head covering, pull it down as a face and neck gaiter, or drape it over your shoulders for wind protection. The orange and black coloring makes you easy to identify on the field — important when you're running in tight groups or a field mandates high-vis gear. You can also use it to wipe sweat, protect your neck from sun, or cover gear when you don't want it sitting in the dirt.
What it isn't. A cotton shemagh is comfort and practicality, not armor. It won't stop a BB, and you shouldn't wear it as a face shield during active play. If you do pull it over your mouth for dust, remember it reduces how well you can hear calls.
