Lancer Tactical Ripstop Combat Pants, Large, Tan

Tactical pants that don't try to be everything. Lancer Tactical's ripstop build does the basics well: durable fabric, enough pockets for what you actually carry, and a fit that adapts to the day.

The fabric. A 50/50 cotton-polyester ripstop weave makes up the main body. Cotton gives it some softness and breaks in faster than all-synthetic builds; polyester adds tear resistance and keeps it from shrinking as much as 100% cotton would. Ripstop weave means if the fabric catches and starts to tear, the cross-hatching stops it from running.

Storage without bulk. You get multiple zippered pockets and flap-secured pockets across the thighs and back. Zippered pockets keep things put when you're moving fast or crawling. Flap pockets are quicker to reach into when you need something on the fly. The exact layout depends on the cut, but the idea is straightforward: there's a home for your hand, your keys, a small notebook, or whatever else you don't want rattling around in your pockets.

Fit that actually adjusts. The waist is adjustable, the knee openings can be tightened or loosened so the pants don't ride up when you bend, and the hems have adjustments at the ankle. That trio of adjustments means you can dial in the fit without relying on belt alone. The knee adjustment is worth using if you're running boots — a loose knee opening collects debris and catches on things.

EVA knee pads included. The pants ship with a set of EVA foam knee pads that slide into the knee pockets. They're not premium pads — you'll want to upgrade eventually if you're spending a lot of time on hard surfaces — but they're functional out of the box and save you from having to source them separately. If you're doing a lot of ground work, pick up some gel pads as a first upgrade.

Tan. The color is tan. It hides dirt reasonably well and blends into most outdoor skirmish environments without standing out. It's the airsoft field workhorse color for a reason.

Sizing note. These run true to Lancer's usual cut. If you've worn their pants before, order what worked. If this is your first pair, the adjustable waist gives you some room, but check a size chart if you're between sizes — the fabric has some stretch in the knees but the overall fit follows your measurements.
